What makes a night at Jamra

A simple kitchen, good ingredients and enough time for every dish.

  • Mezze made each morning

    Hummus, muhammara and baba ghanoush are made fresh in our kitchen every day — nothing comes from a tub.

  • Oak charcoal, nothing else

    There is no gas on our grill. Kofta and chops cook over oak charcoal and taste of real smoke.

  • Bread from the dome oven

    Every round comes out of the dome oven puffed and hot, a minute before it reaches your table.

  • Built for sharing

    Long tables and family trays for four to ten, plus a private room upstairs.

Before you visit

Quick answers on bookings, delivery and vegetarian food.

Do you take reservations?

Yes, and we recommend booking for Thursday and Friday evenings. Send a request through the form or on WhatsApp and we confirm within the hour; walk-ins are seated whenever a table is free.

Is there vegetarian food?

Yes — most of our mezze is vegetarian, and the hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh and muhammara are fully plant-based. Ask and we will grill halloumi or vegetables in place of meat.

Do you deliver?

Yes, within Zamalek, Garden City and Dokki through WhatsApp, from 1 pm to 11 pm. Grills travel in insulated boxes and the bread is packed separately so it stays crisp.

Is there parking?

There is no private car park, but valet parking runs outside the restaurant every evening from 6 pm. At lunchtime street parking is usually easy.
