Heritage hotel · Al-Balad, Jeddah

Sleep behind the rawshan, in the heart of old Jeddah

A coral-stone merchant’s house, restored room by room. Wake to the call to prayer over the rooftops, take breakfast in the courtyard and step straight into the souq.

  • Twelve rooms
  • Hejazi breakfast included
  • A rooftop over Al-Balad

A house with a story

Everything here carries something of old Jeddah.

  • Coral stone and teak

Thick coral-stone walls keep the rooms cool, and carved rawshans filter the light and the sea breeze.

  • Qahwa on arrival

Every guest is welcomed in the majlis with Hejazi coffee, dates and a cold towel.

  • Hejazi breakfast

Foul with tamees bread, mutabbaq, white cheese and honey, served each morning in the courtyard.

  • The old town at your door

Souq Al Alawi, Nassif House and the mosques of Al-Balad are all a few minutes’ walk away.
